Sligo Arts Psychotherapy Centre was founded by Pia Lück and Rebecca O’Connor in 2012. Anna Mulvihill joined in 2021. We offer Play therapy, Art Psychotherapy and Eco Art Therapy.
Pia Lück is a Play Therapist, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist and Art Therapist who works with Children and Teenagers. Rebecca O’Connor is an Art Psychotherapist who works with Children, Teenagers and Adults. Anna Mulvihill is an Art Therapist and an Eco Art Therapist who works with Children, Teenager and Adults. We are available for one to one sessions, group sessions and outreach work. We are all fully qualified, registered and adhere to the ethics of our associated bodies IACAT and IAPTP and we are all Garda vetted.
We are committed to the safeguarding of Children and Adolescents and adhere to the policies and procedures of the Children First Act 2015, Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children (2017), and Tusla’s Child Safeguarding: A Guide for Policy, Procedure and Practice.
As private practitioners working at Sligo Arts Psychotherapy Centre, we are subject to the governance of GDPR. We hold information and privileged data of a confidential nature respectfully and with due care and attention to its safety and protection. Only information necessary to the work contracted between you and the practitioner will be held.
Rebecca O’Connor
Rebecca O’Connor holds an MSc in Art Psychotherapy from the University of East London. She is a fully accredited and registered Art Psychotherapist with IACAT, The Irish Association of Creative Arts Therapists.
She is a co-founder of Sligo Arts Psychotherapy Centre. She worked as a community artist and arts and healthcare practitioner for 5 years before training in a masters in Art Psychotherapy with the University of East London. She has been working as an Art Psychotherapist for 12 years. She works with all age groups.
With adults, she works with a variety of issues as well as personal growth and wellbeing. With children and teenagers, she works with emotional, developmental and behavioural issues. Her approach is person centred and non-directive and she only uses directive methods and techniques where appropriate.
She also works in the area of Self-Care and has developed and founded The Creative Container, a Self-Care workshop for Health Care Professionals through the use of reflective art-making practice.

Anna Mulvihill
Anna Mulvihill holds a MA in Art Therapy from MTU, Crawford College of Art and Design, and a BA Hons in Visual Arts Practice from DLIADT. As well as her private practice in Sligo Arts Psychotherapy Centre, Anna offers eco art therapy outdoors, working with individuals and holding workshops throughout Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal.
An accredited member and former council member of the Irish Association of Creative Arts Therapists, and co-founded Artonomy, Art Psychotherapy based in Dublin. Anna has been working for ten years with clients of all ages and abilities in clinical, educational and community settings. Her approach is client-centred building on a strong therapeutic relationship, and she works with a wide range of emotional issues and self development.

Pia Lück
Pia is a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist. She holds an MA in Art Therapy and in Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapy and Play Therapy and a diploma in Creative Supervision. Pia is a fully accredited member with IACAT and IAPTP.
Pia has 20 years experience of working with children with a diverse range of emotional, developmental and behavioural issues. Examples are child sexual abuse, loss, attachment issues, children in the foster care system, children affected by war and refuge, and children with special needs.
Pia has a special interest in trauma work and attachment repair. Through her various trainings she is able to weave between directive and non-directive modes of interventions. Currently undertaking training at the German Theraplay Institute, Pia offers Theraplay based practice, and offers assessments of parent-child interactions using the Heidelberg Marschak Interaction Method (H-MIM).
