Art Therapy and Children

Art is a natural developmental activity for children and something they engage with in their day-to-day life. Art is a way for children to communicate non verbally and symbollically. As a therapeutic intervention, it can be especially useful for children/teenagers with emotional, behavioural and developmental issues. Children can find it hard to express or show feelings or issues. Through art they get a chance to express themselves without the use of words.
